Indigenous Student Success Program

The Indigenous Student Success Program provides social, academic, financial, and employment supports to help students successfully complete their first year of engineering, and to help upper year students with their professional and leadership development.

Benefits for First Year Students

  • Regular appointments with Academic Advisors
  • Engineering Student Centre first-year study sessions
  • Group tutorials led by an Indigenous Student Ambassador
  • Workshops and social events led by Indigenous Student Ambassadors
  • Peer support and mentorship
  • Financial support from the Student Success Fund

  • Employment supports, including the Indigenous Peoples Industry Partnership Program (IPIPP)

Student Success Fund

Students can apply to receive financial support for wellness activities, professional and leadership development opportunities, or emergency financial assistance.

The Indigenous Peoples Industry Partnership Program (IPIPP)

The Indigenous Peoples Industry Partnership Program (IPIPP) facilitates partnerships between companies and Indigenous engineering students. Students that participate in IPIPP receive a $5,000 tuition incentive, valuable summer work experience and important industry connections that enhance their engineering studies and lay the groundwork for excellent opportunities after graduation.
