The entry term for most students in the College of Engineering is the fall term (September). Talk to an academic advisor first if you are considering enrolling in spring or summer classes.

1. Required grade 12 classes

  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Pre-Calculus

Note: a minimum grade of 70% is required in each of these courses.

Check required courses in a different curriculum.

2. Admission Averages

Applications are considered up until the deadline. Admission is offered on an ongoing basis until all seats are filled. Applicants who do not meet the admission average but otherwise qualify for admission may be placed on a waitlist.

Minimum admission average: 75%

At the discretion of the college, applicants who had been placed on a waitlist may be offered admission based on their place in the waitlist (determined by admission average).

Learn how we calculate your admission average.

3. English proficiency

If your first language is not English, you may have to prove proficiency in English before admission.

Applying from Saskatchewan or Alberta high schools?

Use one of our pre-requisite / admission average checklists to make sure you meet admission requirements.

Transfer Students

Have you taken other post-secondary schooling?

Students who have completed other post-secondary coursework may be eligible to receive advanced standing (or transfer credit) in their engineering degree program.

Due to the high volume of applications we receive, transfer credit evaluations will only be evaluated for applicants and current students. We cannot complete preliminary evaluations for students who are considering an application.

Tuition and fees

The average cost of domestic undergraduate engineering tutition and fees in 2023-2024 was approximately $12,000. This estimate reflects a typical amount you could expect to pay if you enroll in a full course load. Tuition will vary depending on the type and number of classes you take in a year.

The student fees portion covers services like health and dental insurance, use of athletic facilties on campus, a bus pass for the city's transit system, and more.

Visit this USask Admissions site for information on preparing for university, available supports (for international domestic students), tuition rates, and other key tips for submitting your application.
