Ready to move forward

A thank you message from College of Engineering Dean Suzanne Kresta

In the space of a week, the College of Engineering has moved from business as usual to fully remote operation. Leadership, faculty and staff have worked hard to stay ahead of mandated announcements so that we could transition our teaching, learning and research operations as smoothly as possible. Students adapted and moved forward with classes in a dramatically changed environment. We appreciate their resourcefulness and resilience – traits that will serve them well in their engineering careers.

I am very proud of everyone in our college for going above and beyond. Because of your efforts, we are now able to determine next steps for this semester and begin planning for the future from the safety of our homes. I have urged our community to honour all of the efforts of the past week by staying in isolation at home as much as possible.

Finally, I encourage everyone to be especially vigilant about our mental health and well-being. USask has made several resources available.

We will be in touch! Stay safe. Stay well. Be kind.

Suzanne Kresta, Dean, College of Engineering
