About Us

Welcome to the Ron and Jane Graham School of Professional Development. Over the past decade, we have grown into a vibrant Canadian centre for the study of rhetoric.

The School is home to the College’s Professional Communication Option (PCO), as well as to  D.K. Seaman Chair in Technical and Professional Communication, Jerry G. Huff Chair in Innovative Teaching, and the George LaBorde Chair in Engineering Entrepreneurship.

The School of Professional Development is positioned to be a national and international destination for teaching and research in the disciplines which prepare students for active engagement in professional communities.


2017 Public Speaking Competition

March 6, 5:00 pm, Health Sciences E1150

Applications are now being accepted for the annual Graham School Public Speaking Competition. The first place presentation will be awarded a prize of $1,000. 

The speaking contest is open to any student registered in an undergraduate program at the University of Saskatchewan who has completed RCM 300. 

The application deadline is February 17, 2017 and competition date is March 6, 2017.
